Window Blinds the Correct Way to Measure Them

Measure your window for the right fit for your blinds is easy, so follow the instructions below. Your blinds will then be made to your exact specification and you will have no problems with the equipment.

What you need:

Measuring tape, steel is best, those materials tend to stretch

Pen or pencil

Notes

Recess Fit

Take 3 measurements for the width of the window at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest. Repeat the process againfor the decline, and then use the smallest measurement. Even if you move to a new house or have just built an extension and installed new windows, always three measurements for the width and the drop. These can vary in size (trust me I've done it several times)

You need to make any adjustments to your measurements as this will be done at the factory to ensure a perfect fit.

Outside Fit

Everything you need to do is the exact measureArea you need to cover, I would recommend a period of at least 75 mm longer than the width of the window on both sides and at the bottom, if there is no window sill.
When measuring, please note any obstructions such as handles, etc.

Warning

In the interest of safety, please keep all the cables and pull chains to keep out of reach of children. Move your cots, beds and other furniture away from blinds and install equipment such as cleats and cord admits to restrict accessCords.
